Mercury2 Transformation Program
Mercury2, is the transformation program that will shape the future of retail, delivering world class convenience to the customer at unbeatable value. The AU$1 Billion +, 10 year supply chain transformation, is the next exciting step following the highly successful Mercury I supply chain program.
Mercury2 is significantly expanded to encompass the end to end supply chain across buy, move and sell for all Woolworths brands. The program will enable a new way of working with vendors, in-store and Logistics to deliver a more nimble and efficient end-to-end network.

Finance and Property
Group Finance incorporates traditional finance functions as well as other shared services including Group Financial Services (covering Woolworths Credit Cards, Gift Cards and Prepaid cards), Property and Facilities. Finance is responsible for driving best practice and implementing change across all facets of financial reporting and ensuring strict adherence to corporate governance and internal controls. The purpose of the commercial finance team is to assist and support business operations and management with strategic business decisions, and continuously identify opportunities to develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders for collaboration and improving business outcomes.
The Group Risk function and Divisional risk teams drive business performance by enabling decisive risk management. They are a corporate support function and their job is to provide thought leadership, best practice advice and a shared service that adds value. They have created a compelling offer and will continue to build relationships that partner for better outcomes. Group Risk provides easy access to quality risk expertise and advice focused on driving customer value. This streamlined, united and effective operating model ensures that we are a high performing team providing the best service to our customers.
Quality and freshness don't come easily, which is why we have a fantastic group of people working around the clock at Woolworths Distribution Centres to tackle the mind boggling logistical challenge of coordinating supplies from the farm-gate to supermarket shelves. Our Distribution Centres are also a critical control point in checking the quality of fresh food and placing it in the optimal conditions to protect its flavour, freshness and texture. Alongside the top service we provide to our supermarkets, we also have super performance in our Distribution Network which store stock for many of our brands.
The Legal Division is committed to helping the business achieve its objectives whilst being aware of opportunities and constraints within the relevant legal environment. Its primary purpose is to recognise and provide pro-active input into the management of legal risks. The legal team has a duty to ensure the business complies with the law and has in place good corporate governance practices.
